It’s casual and a little bit trendy, with beachside outdoor seating and occasional live music. They open early as a beachside café, then shift into a seafood bar as the day goes on. Whatever you’re eating, pair with a well-chosen list of wines, beers, locally roasted coffee or some seriously good Bloody Marys.

WHAT WE LOVE

The Selkie nails the seaside dining dream: laid-back enough for a casual catch-up and special enough to bring a date. Mostly, though, it’s a great spot to lose a sunny afternoon by the water and not feel a shred of guilt about it.
