Step back over a thousand years this weekend because The Haestingas are setting up on the lawns of Hastings Museum & Art Gallery to bring the sights, sounds and smelly smells of early medieval Hastings to life.
There’s plenty to see (and sniff). Watch fish and food being prepared the old-fashioned way and browse the wares of merchants trading goods from near and far. Skilled craftspeople will show you how raw materials are bent to their will and you will hear the clash of steel on steel as warriors take up arms in a display of weapons and warfare.
