Created by the Hastings Queer History Collective, this exhibition at Hastings Museum & Art Gallery brings together personal objects, fashion, film, sound and multimedia works, alongside a major new commission by artist Emma Frankland.
Inside are stories of joy, defiance, community and the survival of people who loved, made art, danced, organised, and refused to disappear – a celebration of LGBTQIA+ lives lived right here in Hastings, even when they weren’t always recognised.
These are stories woven into the fabric of the town, researched and curated with local LGBTQIA+ communities and produced by Home Live Art in partnership with Hastings Museum & Art Gallery. Everyone’s invited to discover them.
