Hastings Makers Market

Head down to Hastings Makers Market betweeen 11 am – 4pm on 18th July. There are almost 50 independent stalls, plus a load of open studios to wander round.

Expect a range of local makers and small businesses selling their stuff –  everything from hand-baked dog treats to vintage finds, wooden live-edge furniture to artisan ceramics. It’s a good chance to buy something a bit different and meet the people who made it.

There’s a feel-good side to it, too. Every market raises just shy of £1,000 when all the pitches are full, with the money going to a good cause. This year’s cause is The Grumpy Cook Café, which supports local people in temporary accommodation and food poverty.
