Cheese & Wine in Courthouse Street

If a glass of wine, a plate of French cheese and a sunny corner of Hastings Old Town sounds like a bit of you, head to Courthouse Street today.

From 12 pm – 4 pm you can enjoy a selection of French cheeses served with fresh bread from local bakery Judges, plus your choice of red, white or rosé wine (or water). If you’d rather, you can opt for Stilton with crackers and a glass of port, kindly provided by The Jenny Lind. Whichever you choose, local musicians French Accent will provide the soundtrack with live traditional French music throughout the afternoon.

It’s £7.50 for your first plate and drink, with top-ups available for £3 (please note this is a cash-only event). 

It’s part of Hastings Old Town Carnival Week (Saturday 1st – Sunday 9th August), a week-long celebration that’s been bringing the community together since 1968. Expect pram racing, treasure trails, live music, street parties and plenty more, all leading up to the Grand Carnival Procession and raising money for local charities.
