In conversation with ZENA EDWARDS
21 OCTOBER 2026
How nature persists in urban life runs through the work of Zena Edwards, who brings 30 years of poetry and storytelling to Hastings Storytelling Festival.
The writer and performer founded Poets Built It and the Nature Persists Poetry Project, exploring our relationship with the environment through poetry. Her work has also brought her together with artists including Theaster Gates and Akram Khan.
Shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem Performed in 2023, Zena comes to Hastings Museum & Art Gallery at 7 pm. Here’s your chance to hear from someone who has spent three decades finding new ways to tell stories.
Tickets are £7.59. Hastings Museum & Art Gallery is an accessible venue.
