Oscar's On the Square

Perched on the lower promenade directly opposite Warrior Square, Oscar’s On the Square can be easy to miss from above. But head down to beach level and you will find this former beach office turned restaurant/ bar/ live music venue, with outdoor seating that looks straight out to the sea.

They serve burgers, loaded fries & Jerk. There are loaded nachos and hot dogs too, with dedicated vegan and kids’ options.

On Sundays, the kitchen switches to traditional roasts, with beef, pork or nut roast served with all the trimmings.

The space also doubles as a 100-capacity venue for live music and late-night DJ takeovers spanning house, techno, reggae and drum & bass. It’s also available for private hire, with its own canapé and buffet menu.

WHAT WE LOVE

Be careful. We popped in for an afternoon burger and didn’t get home until 1 am. The vibes are just that good.
