The legendary live storytelling night The Yarn comes to the grounds of Hastings Castle for a magical summer’s evening. Expect remarkable local storytellers spinning even more remarkable tales, on the theme of “belonging.”
Described by audiences as a night that will make you “cry tears of laughter into your wine” and “nourishment for the soul”, The Yarn is the brainchild of Irish theatre-maker Helen Black and James Young of the Hastings Writers Workshop. In its various guises (including its earlier life as Story Club), it has been winning over local audiences since 2025.
Bring a chair or a blanket to sit on, and as always, dress for the weather.
It’s on from 6:30 pm – 9 pm, tickets are £15 + booking fee and for over 14s only.Â
