From 7 pm, Captain Burton and the Hastings brethren are calling all scaly fish, doxy wenches and jack tars to the Pirate Ball for a night of utter mischief and mayhem at the East Hastings Angling Club.
There will be live music to jig along to from local caper merchants Viral Antics and the Ragati String Band, plus the Groggy Dogs, who have sailed all the way in from Seville. And whoever turns up in the finest garb gets crowned king and queen of the ball.
