Tuesday mornings at The Crown belong to the Crown Knitters – a free and friendly weekly session of knitting and crochet in Hastings Old Town.
Everything the group makes gets sold to raise money for local causes, with the RNLI and the Hastings Winkle Club among the beneficiaries. They’re big on a theme, too. Pirate pieces for Pirate Weekend, green ones for Jack in the Green – if the town is celebrating it, someone’s knitting it.
There is no need to book, just turn up at 10 am in the Snug with your project or a bit of yarn, whatever your skill level.
