Tales in the Ruins: Project Rewild
09 JULY 2026
There is nowhere better for this than Hastings Castle. Steeped in nearly a thousand years of history, its ruins make the perfect backdrop as Luke Funnell and Thomas BW Barron of Project Rewild keep the bardic tradition alive – weaving stories, poems, songs and mythical tales drawn from the folklore and hidden histories of Hastings and Sussex.
You will often find Luke out in the town’s wild spaces, inspiring children and adults alike to reconnect with nature through immersive campfire tales. Thomas, meanwhile, is a well-known local Pagan punk romantic poet, singer and actor who brings a real theatrical energy to performances. And together they make for a session that’s open to all ages.
It starts at 2 pm for 45 mins and ticket prices are as follows:
Standard: £6.95
Child (5-17): £5.45
Under-5s: Free
Hastings & Rother residents: £5.45
Address
Hastings Castle, Castle Hill Road, Trinity Triangle, Old Town, Hastings
