Share & Repair Fest 2026
29 AUGUST 2026
Hastings Share & Repair Fest is taking over Stade Hall for an afternoon of fixing broken things and finding new homes for what you no longer need.
It’s on from 11 am – 3 pm and there is loads happening. Bring something broken and one of the volunteer fixers will take a look, with help available for bikes and electricals. The Make and Mend group will be there for clothes repairs too.
There is also a free shop called the People’s Boutique. You don’t have to bring anything to take something home, although donations are welcome and limited to one bag per person. They’re particularly after men’s clothing and trainers.
If you have any old mobile phones or empty printer cartridges hanging around, bring those along for recycling. Used stamps are being collected too, as well as leftover foreign currency.
Hidden Beach Kitchen is taking care of the food, and you can grab a free hot drink at the café. There is also a quieter space called The Snug if you want to sit for a while, with storytelling for adults happening during the day.
It’s a great local idea: fix what you can and pass on what you don’t need. Plus, you might come home with something useful in the process.
Everything is free, and they are looking for volunteers to help on the day too, particularly anyone who knows their way around a repair job. You can get in touch here.
