RYE & DISTRICT COUNTRY SHOW
22 AUGUST 2026
The Rye & District Country Show returns to Elm Tree Farm today, all in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.
There will be loads happening from traditional horse classes to displays by the Romney Marsh Pony Club Mounted Games Teams. There’s a dog show too, with classes open to all, so bring yours along for a go.
Away from the rings, you will find classic cars lined up alongside vintage tractors and agricultural machinery to have a nose around. Head into the craft marquee to see makers at work, then have a browse through the trade stands across the showground.
You won’t go hungry either as food stalls will be serving throughout the day, with a bar on site and live music playing around the showground.
If you fancy being part of the action rather than watching from the sidelines, entries are open for the horse and dog shows. Classic car owners can enter their wheels too, with details available from the Rye Show website.
Adult tickets are £7.50 and under 13s go free, with free admission for carers accompanying a full-paying visitor. Parking won’t cost you anything either and Blue Badge spaces are close to the main entrance (use TN36 4BH on the A259).
All proceeds go to St Michael’s Hospice to support its work across Hastings and Rother. Last year’s show raised £27,000 for the charity – if you needed another reason to go.
