Hastings first met Ryan Zhu when he won this year’s International Piano Competition – now he’s returning to town and taking over The Stables for a full piano recital.
The 22-year-old Canadian pianist took first prize after his performance of Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2. Since then, he has made his Wigmore Hall debut and graduated from Juilliard.
The show starts at 7:30 pm and includes Haydn and Beethoven. You will also hear Scriabin, before Ryan takes on all four of Chopin’s Ballades. Tickets are £15 adults or £12 under-18s and members.
