Maths Up The Mountain

Brook Tate has been teaching maths with colours and shapes and he’s taking it to the stage. This screening of his documentary Maths Up The Mountain comes with a live preview of his MatheMusical.

It’s built around Multicolour Maths – a teaching method that removes numerals and symbols to help people who find maths daunting. The idea came to Brook in a dream after he’d been inspired by Alan Turing. He’s since tried it in schools and demonstrated it on the BBC. Even the Oxbridge professors have had a go.

Brook’s already had success in theatre. His previous show Birthmarked played Bristol Old Vic and Edinburgh Fringe, where The Stage named it one of its Best Shows.

Head to the Kino-Teatr for Brook Tate’s maths documentary and live MatheMusical preview. 7:30pm. £15.29 – £17.41 including booking fees.
