Hastings Rocks International Film Festival 2026

Hastings Rocks is back for its fifth edition and has 66 films lined up for Halloween weekend. The festival takes place across three main venues The Printworks, The Observer Building and Electric Palace Cinema.Â
This year’s line-up brings together gritty fiction and hard-hitting documentaries that confront real-world social issues and explore horror. Expect films that unsettle you and stay with you afterwards.
Programme Breakdown:
Friday: Features regional filmmaking from in and around Hastings, followed by animation and experimental shorts, culminating in the sci-fi feature LUNA.
Saturday: Highlights include the Script Club at 2:00 pm, at The Printworks with Emmy-winning writer David Quantick going behind the scenes of Book of Love and his upcoming comedy horror Spider Island.
The evening block features WRATH OF THE GODS, international films from Palestine and Iran, and a Hallowe’en Horror Special held at The Observer Building.
Sunday: Features a special screening of the acclaimed climate documentary The Age of Stupid, followed by an extended Q&A with director Franny Armstrong
