Here’s a special one. The Hastings Philharmonic Orchestra teams up with Battle Festival for an open-air performance of Holst’s The Planets, played live in the historic grounds of Battle Abbey under the night sky, conducted by Marcio da Silva.
Bring a picnic, settle in with friends or family, and there is a bar on site if you fancy a drink. It’s free to attend, though you will need to grab tickets in advance. General admission is free and puts you in the outdoor picnic area (weather permitting). A £25 premium upgrade gets you a chair outside, plus a seat inside Abbot’s Hall if the weather turns.
It all takes place at Battle Abbey (Abbot’s Hall), from 8 pm.
