Emmy-winning writer David Quantick is at Hastings Book Festival, talking about a career that’s taken him from the NME to some of Britain’s sharpest comedy.
His credits include The Day Today and Brass Eye, and he later co-wrote HBO’s Veep, winning an Emmy in 2015.
David will read from his work and talk about his books, including recent short story collection And Other Stories. Hastings Book Festival Local Hero Alex Preston joins him on stage for the interview, with questions from the audience afterwards.
It’s at the Observer Building and runs from 3 pm – 3:45 pm. Tickets are £10.25 but you can see all seven Local Heroes events with a festival pass for £30.
