Ghosts of Hastings
29 OCTOBER 2026
Molly Morrison, lead investigator of the Untruth Seekers, shares some strange Hastings stories, including mummified cats sealed in a chimney to ward off the plague and a priest who hid smugglers’ brandy in freshly dug graves.
She is joined by John D’Anter, author of Hollington in Supernatural Tales and Folklore, who collected the stories he heard growing up locally. His tales include phantom carriages and a regenerating vicar.
Some of the stories may be familiar to Hollington locals. For everyone else, it’s a chance to hear a side of the area’s history you’re unlikely to find in the guidebooks.
It’s on from 7 pm to 8:30 pm and tickets are £5.50 or £3.30 concessions.
