ECLIPSE & folk dancing

If you like your partial eclipse with some folk dancing thrown in, head to East Hill today because Rheda’s Dream Morris Side will be at the Beacon to mark the eclipse with traditional dance and live music.

The Beacon’s position above Hastings Old Town gives it an open view towards the west-northwest horizon. Pedestrian access is available via the steps from Tackleway or the coastal paths from Hastings Country Park. Do check the East Hill Lift operating times before relying on it for transport up the cliff.

 The eclipse begins at 6:17 pm, with the maximum eclipse taking place at 7:14 pm, continuing until 8:06 pm. Don’t forget to bring certified solar eclipse glasses for safe viewing.
