Castle School
30 JULY 2026
Where else can the kids spend a morning playing in an actual thousand-year-old castle? Hastings, that’s where.
Every Thursday through the summer holidays, Castle School takes over the ruins of Hastings Castle and its nature reserve for a relaxed, outdoorsy morning run at the children’s own pace.
It’s led by forest-school-trained Urs, with you parents staying to supervise. The kids get stuck into games and a bit of tool work, learn some natural skills, and have a good roam around.
It’s for primary school age children only, every Thursday from 30th July, 10 am to 11:30 am. It’s £8 per child (plus booking fee), or £5 for low-wage families, and each child needs an adult free to stay with them.
FYI, the castle is still open to the public as usual during the sessions.
