Axel Scheffler is at White Rock Theatre from 2 pm, for a family afternoon celebrating all things Gruffalo.
The Hastings Storytelling Festival patron will read The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child. He will also introduce *drum roll pls* the brand-new Gruffalo Granny.
The kids will see Axel draw the characters live on stage and hear more about how his illustrations take shape. A book signing follows, with books available to buy on the day. Axel can also sign one previously owned copy per person.
Babies and toddlers are welcome and there will be a quiet space just outside the auditorium for anyone who needs a break.
Tickets are £19.45. One adult ticket (age 17+) comes with a free child ticket for ages 0-10.
