Hidden Beach: Sound System Culture Day

Fancy a full day of reggae, dub, heavyweight bass and sound system culture? Join three to four of the South Coast’s finest sound systems for an all-day celebration of music, food, film and community.

The day starts with the history and heritage of reggae and dub: film screenings, stories from local selectors and sound system operators, and the chance to get up close with the handcrafted systems that power it all. There’s great food on and the community behind the music to meet along the way.

As the afternoon unfolds, the selectors take over – roots, reggae, dub and lovers rock, before the evening erupts into a full heavyweight session, with powerful bass, MCs and selectors bringing each stack to life.

Whether you’re a lifelong reggae fan or discovering sound system culture for the first time, this is a chance to experience one of the UK’s richest musical traditions in an unforgettable setting.
