Bernard Butler + Special Guests
10 JULY 2026
A true heavyweight of British music is on his way to The Piper. Brit and Grammy Award-winning musician, Bernard Butler first made his name back in 1989 as the co-founder of Suede, whose Mercury-winning debut and the era-defining Dog Man Star helped shape a generation of British guitar music.
Butler went on to write the soaring anthem “Yes” with David McAlmont, release two solo albums, and become one of the most sought-after producers around, shaping seminal records for The Libertines, Tricky, Kate Nash, Paloma Faith and Duffy. Â As a guitarist, he’s shared the stage and studio with the likes of Pet Shop Boys, Bryan Ferry, Roy Orbison, Robert Plant and Bert Jansch.
More recently, his 2022 collaboration with Jessie Buckley, For All Our Days That Tear The Heart, earned a place on the Mercury Prize shortlist – proof (if any were needed) that he’s lost none of his magic.
