This festival shines a well-deserved spotlight on those independent restaurants – we’re talking seasonal British plates, locally landed fish and seafood, Spanish tapas, plus Syrian, Sri Lankan, West African, Caribbean, Japanese and Lebanese flavours.

The whole idea is small plates made for tasting and sharing, so you can mooch about, nibble and discover as you go.

Best of all, there are no tickets or entry fees anywhere – just turn up and tuck in. Stop at one restaurant, a few, or see if you can make it round every venue on the map. One quick tip: please be patient. If somewhere’s busy and you can’t be seated, try another restaurant and pop back a bit later – it’s all part of the fun.
