St Leonards Ceramics Studio

St Leonards Ceramics Studio is a community pottery hub right smack on the seafront, tucked inside the historic Marina colonnade.

With the largest wheel-throwing and glazing facilities in the Hastings area, it’s the perfect place to get your hands dirty (whether you’ve ever touched a lump of clay or not).

For the total beginners out there, try their friendly taster sessions or structured intro courses to ease you in. And for those handy at the wheel, their weekend masterclasses go deep on advanced techniques like Raku firing, amphora building and porcelain paper clay. And for seasoned potters looking for space to create, there is an open-access membership giving you independent studio time and shared facilities whenever the mood may strike.

And if you’re not there to pot, pop into the shop to browse and buy handmade work by the studio’s teachers, members and its students.
